Description

The first of the 6s to get the RS treatment, the ’03 RS6 quattro nearly breaks the Audi mold of understatement with its massive performance credentials. Not only is the widely loved 4.2-liter V8 under the hood, Audi has also bolted on a pair of turbochargers to bring this already potent sedan into the company of giants. The RS6 makes nearly 100 horsepower more than the already quick S6 sport sedan, so speed certainly isn’t an issue. Cornering and braking aren’t either; the RS6 wears positively enormous eight-piston calipers on the front, and Audi’s signature quattro all-wheel drive is on hand to corral all those ponies to the asphalt. As befits any of Ingolstadt’s most powerful creations, there’s also a copious helping of RS-specific bits on top of the already classy exterior styling, including a rear lip spoiler and a pair of prominent, oval-shaped exhaust tips poking out of the rear fascia. If you need executive comfort with exotic car performance, the RS6 is your sedan.
