Description
These two-tone, mechanically upgraded versions of the Elan were introduced to improve sales near the end of their production. They are very popular among collectors and vintage racers for their quickness and agility. The small four-cylinder engine received a large-valve head, hi-lift cams and a higher compression ratio to deliver 126 horsepower. At just over 1,500 pounds, that was more than enough spunk to make them fun to drive. The Elan Sprint would do 0-60 in 6.7 seconds and could reach a top speed of 121 mph. Many say the Mazda Miata is modeled after the Lotus Elan. Pit the two against one another in Forza 4and [sic] find out if there is anything to compare.
